I don't like to use toe media as a scapegoat, that's far too easy. there's no way to escape the tv or the internet , everyone is exposed to it but not everyone gives into it. I agree that it's up to the individual to read between the lines and realize what's bullshit and not let themselves get sucked in. Unfortunately , the majority of my sex is idiotic.

@kelsmart Pretty right in regards in terms of nowadays. In the past it's definitely men's, but most of it nowadays is the same as why racism is still "present." Women / blacks decades ago fought to let themselves be equal, and now so many women are girly girls and blacks are stereotypical gangstaz by choice, and dragging their names down. And it's a shame.

there seems to be a bit of a Battle of the Sexes going on in the comments here, which makes sense when listening to a song like this; it's bound to stir up passionate debates. Here my 2 cents: I am a female and I blame other females. The majority of sexism these days is produced by the women themselves. Most young girls would pick bing "pretty" over being "smart", women flock to "rom-coms", women lust after "nice vampires", etc. We are our own worst enemies. We welcome objectifacation.
